Sierra TPM Module Troubleshooting
Use this guide to resolve common setup, calibration, and simulator issues with the Sierra TPM Module.
My Sierra TPM Module is not being detected
- Verify the USB cable is securely connected.
- Try another USB port.
- Avoid USB hubs.
- Restart your computer.
- Confirm the device appears in Windows Game Controllers.
The Sierra TPM Module is connected but not working in my simulator
- Verify the module is detected by your operating system.
- Assign the throttle, propeller, and mixture axes.
- Restart your simulator after connecting the module.
- Remove duplicate controller assignments.
My throttle, propeller, or mixture controls are reversed
- Reverse the affected axis within your simulator.
- Verify the correct axis has been assigned.
- Test movement after making changes.

Some aircraft may require inverted throttle, propeller, or mixture axes.
The trim wheel is not responding
- Verify the trim wheel axis is assigned.
- Remove conflicting trim assignments from other hardware.
- Test the trim wheel in another aircraft.
My landing gear or flap controls are not working
- Verify the aircraft supports external gear and flap controls.
- Confirm the controls are correctly assigned.
- Restart the simulator after making changes.
The parking brake does not function
- Verify the parking brake control is assigned.
- Remove duplicate parking brake assignments.
- Test with another aircraft.
My vernier controls feel too loose
The Sierra TPM Module includes lockable metal vernier controls.
- Verify each control is fully seated.
- Use the push/pull locking mechanism correctly.
- Test the control outside the simulator.
General performance issues
- Ensure your simulator is up to date.
- Check for Honeycomb software or profile updates.
- Remove duplicate controller bindings.
- Test the module in another simulator.
